yesterday i had the pleasure of photographing these beautiful twins:
they are 8 years old, one is a gymnast and the other one is a dancer.
and yes, they did also show me some of their moves later on during our session – they are amazing!
but to keep up the suspense, i’ll post those images a bit later… along with some images of their very proud (and rightly so!) parents! :)
what this mom prepared for our session is probably on the wish-list for every child:

yep, i met three superheroes this morning!
they had awesome capes, they could run very fast (capes flying and everything ;)), they could jump really high, they had wonderful smiles…
to sum it up: they have a great superhero-career ahead of them!

what i really love about my job is that i get to see families grow, couples become parents, newborns turn into toddlers then preschoolers then…
it is very special for me to witness all these changes, the development of little personalities, the love that is shared – and of course to capture memories of all these different stages in a family’s life.
this morning i had the pleasure of spending some time with a beautiful family that i’ve photographed a few times before.
we always take a picture of the kids on a small wooden bench which is a family heirloom – and these images really show how fast the little ones grow. a sneak peek.
this adorable little girl was so calm, peaceful and relaxed during our newborn session.
must have been the influence of the buddha smiling down at her…
i guess it also helps that she has some awesome and relaxed parents, who did not seem the slightest bit overwhelmed –
much unlike i remember feeling when my second little one was 6 days old…! ;)

my maternity break is now officially over! while i’ve been quietly working on new packages, brochures etc. in the background for a few weeks already, today was actually the day i had my first session again. and what better way to start after my break than with old clients who i’ve already had the pleasure of photographing for several years now!
today is lucien’s 3rd birthday, and i was honoured to be a part of his special day again (you can see his 1st birthday here, and the 2nd one here). this year, lucien chose a pirate theme for his party, and we played with his special pirate ship and his beloved ‚captain redbeard‘ during the session. it was a shame that it was raining outside, so we couldn’t try out the pirate ship in the pool – but we let it sail in the bathtub instead. of course, lucien had a gorgeous birthday cake again, featuring ‚captain redbeard‘ and ‚ben elf‘ – and he loved it so much that he was actually reluctant to eat it! ;)
happy birthday again, lucien, and i hope you had a great birthday party after our session!
plenty of reasons to celebrate in our family these past couple of days:
yesterday our older daughter turned 5 years old!
5 amazing years filled with love and laughter, discoveries and developments, tenderness and tantrums –
and so much happiness!
then today, we had another reason to celebrate:
our little pickle also had a ‚birthday‘ of sorts – she’s 3 months old today!
she’s currently very busy with the discovery of her hands, and brightening up our days with her beautiful smile…
