family heirloom | singapore child and family photographer

as i’m editing the images of this beautiful session, i can’t help but already share this image with you (and i know it’s one that mum and dad are especially looking forward to seeing! :)). for four years, we have now taken this sibling shot on an old bench which is a family heirloom. i love seeing them all together!
adding some ‚outtakes‘ below, because a) i think the one with big bro going cross-eyed is actually my personal favourite because it’s so him at the moment, and b) because i have mentioned little sis‘ adorable ‚leg-crossing‘ in my earlier sneak peek. enjoy!

four years | singapore child photographer

four years –
little ava is going to be four years old soon, and for four years i’ve been photographing this beautiful (inside and out!) family now. our very first session was ava’s newborn session. since then i’m looking forward to each session, because it’s wonderful to see the children grow and develop. as you can see, conrad has developed into a gentleman with a very masculine pose leaning against the wall, and ava is quite the little lady, showing off her nail polish and at one point (in an image which i’ll share later) crossing her legs in a very lady-like pose. ;)
time flies!

home and away | singapore family photographer

this family was leaving singapore shortly after our session, so they wanted some images that would remind them of singapore as a city, and some images at their home to capture some memories of their family life here. for the first part, we chose the duxton hill area with the beautiful shop houses that are typical for singapore. it was beautiful to see the close connection between all family members, and especially to witness the bond between the twin sisters! we had fun whispering secrets and jumping around. later at their home, after a couple of rounds of uno (a family favourite), i was honoured to be the one-person-audience of a very special ballet and gymnastics performance: these girls are seriously talented!

happy 2nd birthday! | singapore child photographer

remember my session auction for the children of syria?
this was the family with the highest bid! and as if that’s not already enough reason to love both this session and this family, it was also the cutest little birthday shoot – on a beautiful day on the beach, with a gorgeous teepee, fun decoration, a giant balloon, and a stunning sunset.
a great start to the year, don’t you think?!

yesterday’s family session brought so much cuteness in front of my lens!
i had photographed this adorable big sister before (see her as a baby on the exact same chair here!), and now i had the pleasure to meet her little brother, too. i really love witnessing and capturing the little ones growing up for my repeat clients!

6 years old today! | singapore kids photographer

six years ago today was one of the most important, most beautiful, most life-changing, most breath-taking days of my life – our first daughter was born. (it was also the most exhausting and most painful day of my life so far, but that part conveniently fades into the back of my memory. ;)) i can’t quite believe she’s already six years old! one more week of holidays and then i will have a school child. when did that happen?!

for nele’s birthday photo session, i asked her what she wanted to do.
she chose a fairy session, ‚with glitter, and wings, and a picture where i’m flying!‘.
so we went into the woods during our summer break back in germany, and played around a bit.
as you can see below, of course i also granted her her ‚glitter-and-flying‘-wish… ;)
it was lots of fun – and to me my little fairy certainly is purely magical!
